FITCRUNCH Caramel Apple Pie Bites

Good things do come in sweet, small packages! FITCRUNCH Caramel Apple Pie Bites are delightful, flaky, mini pies filled with appley deliciousness and topped off with FITCRUNCH Apple Pie pieces.

Ingredients

  • 1 FITCRUNCH Apple Pie Protein Snack Bar
  • 1 Roll Pre-made Pie Crust
  • 1 Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Caramel
  • 1 Tsp Crystal Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Roll out the pre-made pie crust/dough, and using a biscuit cutter, cut out 6 pieces, approximately 2.5 inches in diameter. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, use the top of a drinking glass.
  • Place pie crust in the bottom of 6 cups in a muffin tin.
  • Use an apple slicer to remove the core, and then use a Calphalon® paring knife to remove the peel. ­
  • Chop the apple into small, bite sized pieces.
  • Add in butter, sugar, and cinnamon, and stir to mix thoroughly, and to ensure the butter is well distributed.
  • Spoon into muffin tin cups.
  • Drizzle caramel over the top and sprinkle some salt over the top.
  • Bake at 425 degreesFahrenheit for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cut FITCRUNCH Apple Pie snack bar into bite sized pieces and decorate the pie bites.
  • Remove popcorn from pans and cool on parchment paper.
  • When cool enough to handle, break apart large pieces and store in an air tight container.
