Independence of Mobility for a Veteran Leading up to Independence Day

July 1, 2020 Melville, NY – The Robert Irvine Foundation and FITCRUNCH provided a Freedom Mobility 6×6 all-terrain power wheelchair to Long Island veteran. This power wheelchair will allow Iraq War Veteran, U.S. Army Corporal Chris Levi the ability to partake in outdoors activities such as going to the beach, hiking, fishing, archery, among other hobbies of his, that he has been unable to partake in since injured in the line of duty in Iraq in 2008 when his Humvee was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) with the blast cutting through both of his legs at mid-thigh, leaving him a bilateral amputee along with damage to his right hand and arm.

Chris Levi and his fiancé, Jenn Ryan, both Long Island residents are active in their local community and Chris will be donating his current track-chair to Skudin Surf, a surf school for disabled children in Long Beach, NY.

Back in February 2020 FITCRUNCH launched a challenge called, “Crunch For a Vet”. It was a campaign to raise $25,000 for the Robert Irvine Foundation through the sweat of friends, followers, and fans of FITCRUNCH and Robert Irvine. Fans were asked to post a video performing abdominal crunches. For every crunch performed, FITCRUNCH would donate $1 to the Robert Irvine Foundation up to $25,000.
