March Madness Protein Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 Box White Cake Mix
  • 3 Large Eggs
  • 1 Cup Water
  • ½ Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Scoops FITCRUNCH® Milk & Cookies Protein Powder
  • White Frosting
  • Black Food Coloring
  • Orange Food Coloring

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs, water, vegetable oil and FITCRUNCH® protein powder.
  • Pour the cake batter into a lined muffin tin and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350°F.
  • While the cupcakes are baking, begin to prep your frosting. Add 2 heaping scoops of frosting into two different bowls. In one bowl add orange food coloring, in the other bowl add black food coloring and mix. Place each frosting color into their own piping bags.
  • Allow the cupcakes, 20 minutes to cool then begin frosting.
  • Use the orange piping bag and frost the top of the cupcake. Place a square piece of parchment on top of the frosting and gently rub the cupcake on a flat surface. Place the cupcake into the freezer for 5 minutes.
  • Once the frosting has solidified, slowly remove the parchment paper. Use the black pipping bag to frost basketball laces onto the cupcake.C
  • Continue steps 5-6 until you have frosted all the cupcakes.
