Robert Irvine’s FITCRUNCH teamed up with the Long Island Cares Mobile Breakfast Food Truck, provided protein bars and school supplies to children facing food insecurity, ahead of the '24-25 school year.
The kids received a 20-piece school supplies pack, tissue pack, lunch box, drawstring bag, and FITCRUNCH protein bars to help mark some items off their back-to-school list.
"This outreach is near and dear to my heart, because I grew up receiving free lunch at school. As we passed out the school supplies, I thought about the role we'll play in helping to further each kid's education, even in the smallest ways of a pencil from the pack being used to write ABCs." Dave Plowden, VP of Marketing at FITCRUNCH.
Over 4,500 school supply items were given to around 175 families in the Long Island, NY area.
